The ONA team recently completed a mooring feasibility study of berthing operations at an iron ore loading facility in Western Australia. The study included a detailed assessment of environmental factors and reviewing the most recent mooring procedures for compliance with good marine berthing practices. A mooring analysis was undertaken using OPTIMOOR to assess imparted loads on infrastructure which, in turn, underpinned the study considerations offered to our client. This work was a great opportunity to further demonstrate our growing knowledge base in not only offshore marine operational expertise, but also nearshore and shipping.
