ONA were requested to support container stacking and stowing diligence for a vessel operator recently. The scope required ONA to undertake container stacking calculations to classification society codes and requirements (BV and DNV) and develop utilisation strategies for the unique cargo particulars. Deviations from approved cargo securing manual and capacities require careful consideration and management of change by qualified and competent engineering providers like ONA.
ONA have previously completed numerous sea fastening designs and studies for barge, ship loader and pile transportations over the years and are well established in this space. We support this work with a range of analytical tools and techniques that provide real value and assurance to clients
The work allowed the operator to safely complete a restricted voyage while meeting all the class and regulatory requirements.
