ONA recently undertook a specialised mooring scope for a marine contractor who was planning spread moored subsea operations. ONA provided mooring and operational support that allowed the contractor to maximise their existing structural and mooring anchor capacities.
Using OPTIMOOR, ONA was able to quickly identify environmental limitations for a quasi static mooring basis to determine line tensions and prevent the generation of anchor uplift, normally a detrimental and a significant limiting factor for marine operations. Important in such work is the ability to quickly rationalise environmental load cases and determine which becomes dominant either from a design or operational perspective.
